PART TIME PROMOTIONS
The Part-time Promotions Assistant will assist and report to the Promotions Coordinator, Promotions Assistant and Promotions Director with various duties. Must be reliable, energetic and productive working flexible hours not exceeding 30 hours per week.
- Work closely with and report to Promotions Coordinator and Director
- Assist in day to day operations
- Filing and logging winners onto data base
- Keep prize closet neat and clean
- Take appropriate pictures at events and remotes
- Create contest and games to entertain listeners at remotes
- Assist talent at remotes
- Maintain and clean vehicles
- Gather prizes and promotional material for remotes/van visits
- Decorate venue for promotional visibility
- Set up Matrix box/ISDN line
- Wear LA LEY t-shirt when out at remotes/events or van visits
- Use proper language and dress appropriately (no sweats)
- Must be on time to station and arrive on time at remotes
- Fill out daily miles on logs
- Interact with listeners at remotes
- Other duties may arise

WLEY-FM INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - Promotions Internship
WLEY 107.9FM is offering a one semester, non-paid internship opportunity to students seeking insight and hands-on training within the workings of a major-market radio station. In addition to day-to-day working knowledge and experience obtained, participating students gain valuable "hands-on" work experience which will be applied and used during their post-collegiate employment positions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Prospective candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited university, college, or trade school with the opportunity to receive school credit for an internship.
Must be bilingual (Spanish).
Interns must be in good academic standing with and able to make a minimum 15 hour per week (mainly weekends), must commit and comply with institution's requirements.
THE PROMOTION INTERN:
Interns will be the departmental liaison for all promotions events. The prospective intern will be the point person for organizing promotional campaigns. Duties will include but not be limited to corresponding with vendors and/or venue organizations regarding upcoming remotes, concerts or station promotional events. Attention to detail is imperative with this position. Prospective candidate must be able to accommodate a varied and flexible schedule, which mainly include nights and weekend hours.
